Appsero has integration with weMail. This integration helps you with deactivation and activation analysis.
So, when you connect weMail with Appsero, whenever a plugin is active it will show a tag(the plugin name) in the slug.
That way you can find out the number of deactivation and activation of your plugin.
Let us see how you can integrate weMail with Appsero.
Note: You can now also Add Custom Tags in weMail.
Connect weMail
You need to create an account with weMail first. It is quite easy. Create a Subscriber List there. Next, navigate to the Integrations tab of the Appsero dashboard.
Now, click on the Connect button beside the weMail title.
There will be a pop-up window where you need to put the name of the API and the API key that you will get from your weMail dashboard. Click on Connect to finish.
weMail API Key
To connect weMail with Appsero you need to apply the API from the weMail dashboard. To get the API key,
Navigate to WP Admin->weMail-> Settings-> API key. There you will find the Apssero API key.
After a successful connection, you will see the message will show connected beside weMail.
Connecting Plugin to weMail
Now to find the analytics of a plugin, you need to connect your plugin with weMail.
To do that, click on a plugin. There you will find Integrations in the sidebar menu. Click on it. Then, click on Settings. In the window, you need to Enable Status and select a Subscriber List created on your weMail account.
Note: When activating your plugin if the user allows Appsero the insights of his/her plugins then the email address of that user will added to that list. If he/she deactivate your plugin then the tag will no longer be visible beside the username.
Integrate weMail with Appsero within a few minutes-
Add Custom Tags in weMail
Go to your project and navigate to Integrations. It will show you all the available integrations you have. weMail will appear there under the Mail Integrations section.
Click on the Settings button
It will open a few fields for you. Choose the email list you want to assign tags to. We’ve chosen Appsero-users here to show you.
Add the custom tags both for activation and deactivation statuses. And click OK.
The user has to enable Appsero to collect telemetry data from their end. Otherwise, you won’t be able to track them based on tags.
Now, suppose someone deactivated your plugin. You’ll get these tags from the selected email list by accessing your weMail dashboard.
Navigate to weMail> Lists from the admin panel sidebar. Click on your chosen email list. It will show all available accounts on your list.
Click on the name of any user that you want to check. In our case, we checked the latest account that has just deactivated our plugin.
The tags are visible along with other user information. You can see who deactivated or activated which plugin by looking at the tags here.
